Hey Guys,

I am working on re-designing the forum as i did this one and I have 0 clue about setting up websites/forums so its pretty boring. I have "employed" a graphics designer to re-design the forums and make them look a lot more attractive. Over the next few weeks we will be toying with ideas and you may see the site change looks a bit. Dont worry once its complete I will let you guys know

What Do I need to know?

Nothing really, Just log on as usual and go about your business. There will be a user on here called Acquiesce Media this is craig, he is our web designer nerd so dont freak out as he needs to be an administrator on the forums to perform this work.

I reckon the layout is fine as is. The only thing i think that could be redone is perhaps the top banner.

Perhaps a few random ones that change with each section etc that could reflect what section you are browsing

Yeah but you dont want it to become too tacky and full of stuff people wont use. People will find it annoying etc. Right now its a nice clean simple layout, just needs a few lil spruce ups with banners etc.

One thing i do notice is the gap from the bottom of the top banner, then there is advertising, then the start of thread. Does that go away if there is membership orsomething?

Yeah Paul was looking for something that looked a bit flashy, but was also clean and simple. Most car websites are dark and dingy, so we decided to keep this one nice and light. Happy with how it turned out.

Yeh I considered that but the problem is a fluid design (like the old style) will be different on every resolution so its hard to tell how others are seeing it, it can make the banner too big or too small for the screen. At least with a fixed forum (like current) it will be the same on all screen resolutions.
